Who Is Avron Lipschitz, MD?
Dr. Lipschitz, MD began his journey in Cape Town, South Africa at the age of 17 where he worked towards a medical degree from the University of Cape Town Medical School, gaining his passion for surgery early on. After his internship at Baragwanath Hospital: University of Witwatersrand Medical School, he went on to study medicine in the United States. He studied first at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and then followed his passion for aesthetic treatments with a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and specialized training at New York’s Manhattan Eye & Ear Institute.
Compassion is an essential quality when you are providing medical services. Throughout his training and career, Dr. Lipschitz has prioritized his development of compassion for the individuals that he serves. A key experience that helped him to grow in his compassion for his patients was being able to spend a year in voluntary service in Khayelitsha, South Africa, where he provided primary care for individuals in very difficult circumstances.
