Dr. Lipschitz provides trichloroacetic acid (TCA) chemical peels that are a medium-strength treatment for exfoliating the skin. TCA peels can be used to remove blemishes like sun spots, reduce wrinkles or fine lines and minimize discoloration to produce a more even skin tone.During the consultation with the client, Dr. Lipschitz will discuss their desires and concerns and analyze their skin. He will then decide how strong the TCA needs to be.
Ultherapy® is a relatively new treatment offered at Athena Plastic Surgery. It is the only FDA-approved procedure that uses ultrasound technology to tighten and lift the skin in the décolletage, chin, neck and brow. During this non-surgical treatment, a handheld device is used to emit ultrasound energy at the treatment site. The energy harmlessly passes through the skin to reach the elastin and collagen in the deeper layers of the dermis. The energy heats up these proteins and stimulates them.
